Timeline of Implementation
On the 30th of July, 2014, Bear Market Coffee became one of LoyLap's first customers. The then fledgling business had one location in the Dublin village of Blackrock, but had clear plans to grow.
Bear Market Coffee began using Loyalty to reward their customers on their smartphones. Then at each stage of their journey, be it a new branch or new year, they added a new piece of LoyLap software before eventually combining all offerings in one custom branded app app.
Following on from their successful loyalty system, in 2015 Bear Market started selling their own brand physical Gift Cards powered by LoyLap. Customers could now give the Gift of Bear Market to their friends and family. This technology has now been enhanced to enable online digital Gift Cards so Bear market can now sell digital Gift Cards directly and immediate via email from their website and social media accounts.
In 2017, Bear Markets loyalty system was upgraded by enabling customers to load funds to their digital LoyLap account for Bear Market and receiving a 13% bonus for doing so. Immediately the numbers of customers using the loyalty system grows, and within 2 years, over 25% of Bear Markets customers are loading funds and paying in advance via the LoyLap app.
Now that customers could load funds to their app and pay in store using their credit, Bear Market turned on the LoyLap Online Ordering module to let customers order via the LoyLap app, and their website for seamless orders that customers can simple come in and pick up at a time that suits them.
Once Bear Market had all these technology to improve their customer experience, it was time to bring it all together in one simple place for their customers. The Bear Market app was released on Apple and Android phones so their customers could pay, earn loyalty and order online in one branded and easy to use app.
2020, the year that brought us Covid-19, was a difficult year for all businesses. Our online ordering technology was a great help to Bear Market during the pandemic when they had to keep people apart for social distancing, and once the lockdown started easing Bear Market enabled LoyLap’s easy to use and automated offers to get customers back in store.
